Itinerary

The descent begins at Cascada de las  Ánimas, where the participants receive all the necessary equipment for the activity (wet suit, life jacket and helmet). Also, the guide goes through the  instructions regarding the maneuvering of the rafts and safety procedures.

With this, everything is ready to start the exciting river run of about 12 kilometers. It takes about one hour, in which you can experience seeing narrow stone canyons, sandy beaches, huge  boulders and croplands among other andean landscapes. Upon arriving to close of San José de Maipo, a vehicle will transport you back to Cascada de las Ánimas, where you can shower.

For passengers wishing to spend the rest of the day in our Sanctuary, there are ample and shady picnic areas with tables, grills and fresh running water to use.
